** Kudos to Kendall College of Art and Design, WMSBF, MiBiz, Design West Michigan, the AIA, AIGA, and IIDA for their excellent and well attended Designer Leadership in Sustainability presentation on January 20.

February Membership Meeting

Monday, February 14, 2011 :: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Grand Rapids Community College Applied Technology Center

Greg Northrup, President of West Michigan Strategic Alliance, and Dana Lowell, Director of Advanced Business Development for Faurecia, will present on Powering West Michigan’s Transportation Future.  The discussion will include an Electric Vehicle overview and updates on local key suppliers, EV charging infrastructure, and critical marketing strategies.

Alternate transportation strategies are encouraged. Contact Lisa Locke if you would like help in arranging carpooling.

Space is limited. If you would like to attend this meeting, you must register by email at info@wmsbf.org by Thursday, February 10. Cost of attending is $10, payable by cash or check at the event. Credit card payments may be made prior to the event through Google here. A $1 additional processing charge is included for credit card payments.

The third in a series, West Michigan Environmental Action Council (WMEAC) will present on How Emerging Technologies Are Impacting West Michigan’s Energy Future. The discussion will focus on how new developments in solar, hydrogen, biomass, nuclear and other alternative forms of power generation will impact West Michigan.
