Monday, September 12, 2011 :: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Donnelly Center, Aquinas College 157 Woodward Lane, SE, Grand Rapids Dr. Deb Steketee and Dr. Clinton Boyd will offer a presentation on the Michigan Green Chemistry Clearinghouse, a project hosted by the Center for Sustainability at Aquinas College and funded by the State of Michigan. The overall goal of the Clearinghouse is to accelerate green chemistry awareness, innovation and investment in the State of Michigan by creating and enabling a community of green chemistry advocates that are connected and informed (http://migreenchemistry.org <http://migreenchemistry.org> .) 2011 Scholarship Golf Outing Thanks to all our sponsors, golfers, donors & volunteers, our 2011 Scholarship Golf Outing was a great success!! We had a wonderful turnout. Wallinwood Springs Golf Club provided a nice setting. Even the weather cooperated. We not only reached our goal, to ensure a 2012 scholarship award, but we had a lot of fun doing it. We are pleased that Eliott Copier, our 2011 Scholarship Award winner, was able to join us. Photos will be available soon on the WMSBF Facebook. We’ll keep you posted. Thursday, September 22, 2011 :: 8 a.m Innovation Without Borders: Making It Happen Ontario BioAuto Council 2011 Annual Conference Holiday Inn Select 1855 Huron Church Road Windsor Ontario Cost: CDN$100 As a follow-up to the Great Lakes Summit, this conference will continue to focus on accelerating the re-industrialization of the Great Lakes region by strengthening cross-border partnerships in innovation. Discussions will concentrate on promoting the use of biochemicals, bioplastics and biocomposites through greater R&D cooperation, establishment of new supply chains and joint market development.
