Food Matters: A Clinical Education and Advocacy Program
What Clinicians Need to Know About Our Food System to Help Ensure Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Families and a Healthy Planet

Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, East Auditorium
100 Michigan Street NE, Grand Rapids MI 49503

What we eat profoundly impacts our health, the health of our communities and our environment. Obesity, diabetes, malnutrition, childhood cancer and other chronic diseases are the costly consequences of our current consumption patterns—costly in terms of human well-being and in health care expenditures.

Join area experts and national leaders in sustainable nutrition to learn practical ways for health care professionals to become leaders and advocates for a food system that promotes public and environmental health.
The cost to attend is $75 per person.
Sponsored by Spectrum Health, in partnership with Health Care Without Harm.

With questions or to register, contact Josh Miller, coordinator, sustainability, Spectrum Health, at 616.391.5125, or Hillary Bisnett, program director, Healthy Food in Health Care, Ecology Center, at 734.369.9282.
