Hello All,

This is a reminder that our next Discovering Sustainability Conversation will be next Friday, February 5, at Aquinas College's Wege Center from 8 am to 11:30 am.  We will be working on integrating the findings from our first Conversation in October with the work done by the Southwest Michigan Sustainability Covenant.  This includes:

·        Updating and refreshing the survey results reflecting the groups utilizing and promoting sustainable business practices.

·        Translating the basic principles work from the first Conversation into documented, measurable principles for a sustainable West Michigan

·        Incorporating the efforts of the South West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and the Southwest Michigan Sustainability Covenant within the principles

·        Defining those areas specific to the “color wheel” (The Tipping Point Network diagram of a sustainable region) for West Michigan

·        Increasing the scope of the attendees to those that fill in the areas missing that are required for a sustainable region.

The event is free but registration is necessary.  If you have not already completed our survey, you may do so here.  Completion of the survey acts as registration.  If you have already completed the survey, simply email me at kyle@wmsbf.org to inform me of your intent to attend.

You are encouraged to forward information to your contact lists.  The more people and organizations that are involved in this project, the more complete the asset map of the region will be.  Encourage your contacts to complete the survey, even if they are unable to attend.
