4th ANNUAL GO GREEN GOLF OUTING

Our annual golf outing, sole fundraising event for our sustainability scholarship, is next Monday, August 10, at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Ada.  There is still room for golfers.  If you are interested, please forward this form to me as soon as possible.  Cost is $75 per golfer which includes lunch and a chance to win some fabulous door prizes.

If you would like to assist us in our endevour but aren't much of a golfer yourself, we are still in need of one or two volunteers to help us.  We also have several holes left to be sponsored.  If you are interested in volunteering our sponsoring, please contact me at kyle@wmsbf.org.

Related, Marta Swain at WMSBF member Clothing Matters has graciously offered to donate 10% of golf shirt purchases through August 10 to the WMSBF.  "Putt a layer of sustainability into your game!"

SEPTEMBER MEETING

Meet, greet and share knowledge at our September "Meet the Experts" lunch event at Kentwood Office Furniture.  For members and guests alike, this is a key opportunity to gather practical information that will help you reduce costs, kick start sustainability activities or move your efforts to the next level.  Multiple, concurrent and rotating sessions will allow you to spend time with a least three different topic tables to discuss: Environmental Management Systems, Product Design & Development, Facilities, Logistics, Marketing, and Remanufacturing.

We will also have updates on the progress of our next version (web based!) of our Self-Assessment Guide and details on the soon-to-be released Energy Guide and WMSBF Resources Directory.

We are also hoping to have a drawing for those in attendance.  If you or your organization is interested in providing an in kind donation for this purpose, please contact me at kyle@wmsbf.org.

Space is limited.  If you would like to attend this meeting, you must RSVP to info@wmsbf.org by Wednesday, September 9.
