West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum November 10, 2008, Meeting at Haworth’s Headquarters
GRAND RAPIDS – On November 10, 2008 Ken Brandsen, Manager of Facilities Design & Management at Haworth, will be speaking at the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum’s (WMSBF) regular monthly meeting held at Haworth in Holland. The topic of his presentation will be Opportunity, Objectives, & Results in our LEED Gold Headquarters. A tour of the Haworth’s innovative and environmentally friendly facility will follow.
“The excitement is already growing as our members anticipate a tour of Haworth’s amazing new facility.” said WMSBF Board President Marylu Dykstra, “Anyone interested in sustainability can learn a lot about the practices that Haworth has implemented in their organization.”
Also presenting at the meeting will be Fritz Crabb, Director of Literacy at the United Way. He will be discussing their Schools of Hope program, an in-school tutoring program for 1st through 3rd grade students in the Grand Rapids Public Schools
The meeting will be held at Haworth, 1 Haworth Center in Holland, from 12 pm to 2 pm on Monday, November 10. Cost of the program is $10. Lunch is provided.
Those wishing to attend this meeting are asked to RSVP to wmsbf@wmeac.org by Monday, November 3, though it is recommended to do so sooner as space is limited.

The West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum is a network of businesses, academic, non-profit organizations and individuals dedicated to promoting the “triple bottom line” of sustainable business. Members meet in rotating locations each month to network and hear presentations on various topics of environmental and social responsibility.
